Uher scores four goals in Chiefs’ win

KENT, Wash. – Dominik Uher scored a career-high four goals, including the winner with 1 minute, 12 seconds left in the third period, to give the Spokane Chiefs a 5-3 Western Hockey League victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday.

Brenden Kichton also scored for the Chiefs (28-14-4-3, 63 points), who have won six of their past seven games and moved into fourth place in the Western Conference standings.

Spokane netminder Eric Williams made 19 saves as the Chiefs outshot the Thunderbirds 39-22.

The was tied at 2 going into the third period. Kichton’s 11th goal of the season, at 12:07 of the third, gave the Chiefs a 3-2 lead. The T-Birds tied the game about three minutes later before Uher scored the final two goals of the game – the winner at 18:48 and an empty-netter at 19:51. He has 20 goals this season.

The Chiefs play at first-place Kamloops tonight at 7. The Blazers have won eight of their past 10 games.
