Coming up: Idaho Vandals

RECORD: 11-10 overall, 4-3 WAC

COMING UP: Tonight at Fresno State, 7; Saturday at Nevada, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The Vandals, on the road for just a week before coming home for four straight, understand the importance of their opener on this short trip. After visiting Fresno State – the WAC’s seventh-place team – they go to Nevada, unbeaten in league play and on a 15-game winning streak. The Wolf Pack last lost on Nov. 25 to BYU. A key focus for Idaho is tightening its defense, which has slipped since the start of WAC play. The Vandals are allowing league opponents to shoot nearly 50 percent from the field and 38 percent from the 3-point line. The Bulldogs (9-14, 1-6) are led by Kevin Olekaibe, the WAC’s second-leading scorer at 18.2 ppg.
