Police seek suspect in N. Spokane stabbing
Spokane police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing another man in North Spokane on Tuesday night.
Following the stabbing, Ezra L. Bedeski, 36, ran from the area near Wellesley Avenue and Crestline Street around 9:20p.m., a news release from the Spokane Police Department said. Bedeski was still armed.
Police attempted to track Bedeski with a police dog, but were unsuccessful. The 26-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital after being stabbed in the neck. His name was not released.
The fight appears to have been over a woman: Bedeski is the former boyfriend of the victim’s girlfriend, the release said.
Police said they have probable cause to arrest Bedeski for first-degree assault. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911.

How in the heck many knifing`s has Spokane had this year? Seems to me, we have far more people using knifes in fights than some of the worst cities in the country. You can bet the MSM will pick up on how many knife attacks occur in the Lilac City and again, nationally, will receive another black eye.

Hi Dick
If you click the “Spokane County Annual Crime Reports” link below the photo in this story, you can see some crime statistics from throughout the county. I don’t know how many stabbings there have been, but there is a category for assault.

I’m not sure who is responsible for the stats site but I for one appreciate it. They come in handy some times and I like the format. Good Job.

One other thing…get some of those “reporters” off their rears and use that site to compare trends with staffing levels. :) :)

Thanks Brian. Our web team built that graphic with FBI stats, by importing data specific to this area. We try to run it with every online crime story. At the top of the graphic, if you go to the source link, it will take you to the FBI stats page and you can search around there for more data you might be interested in. Thanks for the kudos.
