OUTLOOK: The Vandals passed their first test in a four-game stretch in Moscow with a huge comeback win over Seattle U. But now comes the key part of their schedule: WAC games with second-place New Mexico State (17-7, 6-2) and Louisiana Tech (11-12, 3-5). After a startling upset of Nevada, Idaho is alone in fourth – 1 1/2 games behind NMSU and just one-half game behind Hawaii. The Vandals lost by 12 at NMSU on Jan. 14 after wearing down in the closing minutes against a bigger, more physical opponent. The Aggies, led by Wendell McKines (No. 1 in the WAC at 18.3 ppg), boast the conference’s highest-scoring offense and largest rebounding margin.
