Prince is top of class in helicopter school

Britain’s defense ministry says Prince Harry has qualified as an Apache attack helicopter pilot, graduating as the best co-pilot gunner in his class after 18 months of training.

The ministry said Thursday the prize recognizes the student whose performance is the best among their peer group.

Known in the military as Capt. Wales, the third-in-line to the British throne was awarded his prize Wednesday.

The prince, who trained in California, in southern Arizona and in Britain, will now fly Apaches on exercises in the U.K.

In December, a British newspaper said Harry had acknowledged he will be deployed to Afghanistan for a second time. He briefly served there in 2007.

Schwarzenegger and Stallone again

It’s an action superstar reunion: Arnold Schwarzenegger is joining Sylvester Stallone for the thriller “The Tomb.”

The filmmakers said Wednesday that Schwarzenegger has signed on to star alongside Stallone in the prison-break adventure.

Schwarzenegger previously had a cameo in Stallone’s action hit “The Expendables” and also appears in its upcoming sequel.

“The Tomb” will feature Schwarzenegger as an inmate opposite Stallone, who plays the designer of a prison forced to escape from his own jailhouse.

Schwarzenegger is just finishing work on “The Last Stand,” his first starring role since returning to acting after serving as California’s governor.
