Coming up: Washington State men’s basketball

 

RECORD: 12-11 overall, 4-7 Pac-12

COMING UP: Tonight at Oregon State, 7; Saturday at Oregon, 3 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The Cougars beat OSU (15-8, 5-6), 81-76, in Spokane on the opening weekend of conference play. Brock Motum led WSU with 26 points in that game. Reggie Moore had nine assists and just one turnover, perhaps his best game this season. The Beavers’ Jared Cunningham (18 points per game) is a conference player of the year candidate, and also leads the Pac-12 in steals. Teammate Ahmad Starks is second. OSU forced the Cougs into 16 turnovers in their first matchup, although the Beavers rank 11th in the conference in field-goal percentage defense. Oregon (16-7, 7-4) is coming off a tough loss at Colorado, but routed WSU 92-75 earlier this season.
