SUV hits motorcyclist in downtown Spokane

A crash between an SUV and motorcyclist on Riverside Avenue and Post Street caused some congestion for STA buses and other traffic and sent the motorcyclist to a hospital.

The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries. Firefighters treating him at the scene believe he had a broken leg.

Spokane police cited the unidentified SUV driver for failure to yield.

Police say the motorcyclist was eastbound on Riverside when he was hit by the other driver, who was westbound on Riverside and turning left onto southbound Post Street.

Typical idiot cage jockey not really looking around. The weather is starting to warm, motorcycles are coming out. Remember to LOOK, and SHARE THE ROAD.

There’s plenty of idiot bike riders out there too that need to learn to share the road too. Not to mention put mufflers on their midlife-crisis Harleys so people don’t go deaf when they rip though downtown at twice the speed limit.

Feb 10 in Spokane. Rainy, just above freezing, slick streets. Seems like it is too early to have motorcycles out yet.
