Barone powers Vandals to victory

MOSCOW, Idaho – Kyle Barone had 14 points and a career-high 15 rebounds as Idaho defeated Louisiana Tech 73-64 Saturday night for its fourth straight men’s basketball victory.

Deremy Geiger and Landon Tatum also had 14 points apiece for the Vandals (15-11, 7-4 Western Athletic), who swept the season series from the Bulldogs for the first time.

Cordarius Johnson scored 21 points for Louisiana Tech (11-14, 3-7), which lost its fourth straight game. The Bulldogs’ leading scorer, Raheem Appleby, was held scoreless.
