Norma passed away peacefully on February 4th in Indio, CA surrounded by family.

She was born January 10, 1936 to LeRoy and Anna Mastropolo in Greenup, Kentucky.

She graduated from Kenmore High School in 1954 in Akron, Ohio.

In 1955 she married “Beetle” Leland Bailey.

In the early years of their marriage she was a military wife and mother as her husband was in the Coast Guard.

He retired in 1972 to Spokane.

They opened Beetle’s CafĂŠ on Sprague Ave. in 1980 and owned it until 1985.

They later owned Beetle’s Drive-In in Medical Lake from 1989 to 1995.

She enjoyed traveling in their motor home and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years “Beetle” Leland Bailey; daughters, Dr. Lenna King and her husband Arthur King, and Lisa Crosby and her husband Gary Crosby: son Leland Bailey Jr.; sister Betty Shaw of Akron, OH; sister in-law Joyce Johnson; grandchildren, Matt, Joey, Justin, Lucas, Samantha, and Brandon; great-grandson Damon, and numerous nieces and nephews.


A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home.

A reception will be held at the VFW Post 51, 300 W. Mission Ave. following the service at 2:30PM.
