Tamara A.

Tamara was born July 12, 1957 in Ritzville, WA to Willard and Patricia Hennings.

She died February 3, 2012, age 54, at her home following a six month battle with cancer.



Tamara attended Ritzville schools, graduating in 1975.

She was active in school activities and served as ASB President her senior year.

She also loved horses and was Ritzville Rodeo Queen in 1974.

Tamara attended Washington State University for a year and a half where she pledged the Delta Delta Delta sorority.

She transferred to George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and finished her education at the University of Pennsylvania earning her PhD.

in Urban Planning.

While on a skiing vacation in Europe she met her future husband, computer software engineer Steven Turner from England.

They were married June 20th, 1993 at Priest Lake, ID.

They started their married life in Philadelphia, PA and soon moved to Belgium where they lived for four years and where their son Pryce was born.

They then moved to the south of France near Cannes for eight years and then came back to the United States living in Los Gatos, CA.

Tamara loved to travel and she especially loved spending time with her family and her many friends around the world.

She is survived by her parents Willard and Patricia Hennings, her husband Stephen Turner and son Pryce Turner, her brother Curtis (Erika) Hennings, her niece Elena Hennings and nephew Hans (Krissy) Hennings and numerous aunts and cousins.

A memorial service is planned for this summer at Priest Lake, ID, her favorite place to be.
