of Life

A very longtime resident of Springdale, Washington, passed away on Wed-nesday, February 8, 2012.

She is the dear wife of Dan Hite, married 52 years, and the loving mother and mother-in-law of Toni and Larry Flett of Ford, Washington, Bobby Hite, and Mike Hite of Spokane, and Mark and Kim Hite of Springdale.

Dottie enjoyed eight grandchildren: Matt Hite, Sara Hite, and Ian Hite of Spokane, Missy Hite of Las Vegas, Nevada, J.R. Flett, Danny Flett, Kenny Flett, and Jordan Flett of Ford; she also enjoyed seven great-grandchildren: Terrance Flett, Jarred Wynecoop, Hazen Flett, Reezen Flett, Jason Flett, and Forrest Flett of Ford, and Trinity Hite of Spokane.

Dottie’s sister-in-law, Eileen Meyer, resides in New Mexico, and there are numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hite is preceded in death by her mom and dad, Jake and Edna Meyer, two brothers, Billie Meyer and Tony Meyer, a sister, Nancy Meyer, her son, Jerry Glen Hite, and a grandson, Truth Flett.

Born in 1932 at Streeter, Stutsman County, North Dakota, Dottie grew up in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and then moved to Spokane where she met her husband, Dan, at the Busch Motorcycle Club.

They were married on August 29, 1959.

Dottie and Dan lived in Spokane for fifteen years and then moved to Springdale.

They owned and operated the POW WOW Tavern in Springdale for many years.

She was also a cook for many years at the Little Chief’s Casino at Ford.

Dottie loved to sew, crochet, and spending time with her family.

Dan and Dottie loved to ride motorcycles together.

Most of Dottie’s friends were from Ford and Wellpinit, Washington.

She was loved by all and will be missed by her family and many friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held at the Springdale Community Cemetery in Springdale at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 13, 2012, with Rev.

Sonny Clemmer officiating.
