Obituary: Owen, Marguerite

OWEN,
Marguerite

Our dear loving Mother, Grandma, Sister, and Aunt passed peacefully into God’s tender care while she slept on January 13th.

She was born in Denver, CO. Marguerite, “Maggie” to some, is survived by her three children, Louise (Jerry) Knobf, Joanne (Royce) Smith, and Jerry (Susan) Dickson; five grandchildren, Laurie (Jim) McLeslie, Brian Knobf, Russell Smith, Scott (Andrea) Smith and Jeremy Dickson; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee McLeslie, Alyssa McLeslie, Jarrett McLeslie, Brody Mentzer and Blane Smith; and three sisters, Doris Howell, Jeanne Spurgeon, and Barbara Daker.

She will be missed for her laughter, her good nature, and her love of the bright-yellow Smiley face.

Marguerite was a member of Victory Chapter OES for over 50 years.

A celebration of her life, commemorating what would have been her 88th birthday, will be held at Park Place Retirement Community, 511 S. Park Rd., Spokane, on February 18th at 1:00 PM.

Condolences can be sent to 10723 E. Maxwell, Spokane Valley, WA 99206, c/o Laurie McLeslie.
