Smart move, mayor
Bravo for Mayor David Condon, who reduced his compensation more than 41 percent. No thank you for the dumb bomb advice from Associate Editor Gary Crooks.
Leave Condon alone or, better yet, join him to restore responsible government to Spokane.

As his only other choice, was to raise the budget to increase his pay. Politically he had no other choice. Do not break your arm patting yourself on the back MR. Mayor. We all know this little accounting mistake will be corrected next year, allowing you to make about ten times what an average minimum wage worker will earn, not counting kickbacks of course. Nice publicity stunt though, worth every penny in free press I am sure.

Thanks Anson! Mayor Condon still needs to get control over the department heads that run the City of Spokane. Pay alone will not fix all the stuff that is broken. It will take a great deal of intestinal fortitude to clean up City Hall.
Responsible government, I like that concept.
