HODGSON, Louis R.
“Tim” (Age 89)

Lifelong Spangle area resident, and rancher at heart, passed away February 11, 2012 in Spokane, Washington.

Tim was employed by Centeniel Mills, Cominco Fertilizer and retired from the Liberty School District after 17 years.

He was a 50 year grange member, serving as master of Paradise Grange (12 years) and served on the Grange Credit Union Board of Directors.

He served in the World War II conflict as a Merchant Marine.

A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on February 11, 2012.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Lorraine (Schmidt), sons Don (Vickie) of Dayton WA, and Doug (Gracie) Hodgson of Spangle WA, grandchildren Darci (Henry) Smith of Spokane WA, Drew (Emily) Hodgson of Post Falls ID, Andy Hodgson of Spokane WA and Mindy Hodgson of Spokane WA and one great-grandchild, Ruby Smith.

He loved sports of all kinds, especially baseball.

He played on, and coached several baseball, softball and Little League teams.

During his retirement years he enjoyed the cattle and timber on his ranch, and vacationing with family and friends.

The trips to Campbell River, BC were a special favorite.

Many of his most treasured moments were spent on the farm with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
