Age 84


RUTTER, Wayne Hal

Resident of Hayden Lake, ID., passed away February 10, 2012.

Wayne was born April 22, 1927 in Cedarville, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joy Lois Rutter, on January 12 of this year.

He is survived by his brother Robert Weichers of Gold Beach, OR.

; daughter Nancy Matheson of Shingletown, CA.

; sons: Larry (Tracy) Rutter of Chugiak, AK., and Burton Thomas Rutter of Trinidad, CA.

; grandchildren: Terry (Angela) Edelmann of Coeur d’Alene, ID., Wayne Heith (Shannon) Edelmann of Tacoma, WA., Jennifer Valdez of Shingletown, CA., Buffi (Jerry) Brown of Dunsmuir, CA., Dustin Rutter of Dunsmuir, CA., and Sidney Rutter of Alaska; 12 great-grand-children, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Wayne was a Pearl Harbor Navy Veteran.

After his discharge from the Navy he worked for The Bureau of Reclamation and then became head of the parts department for the Junkins Pontiac Garage.

After his retirement from there he returned to his lifetime passion of ranching.
In 1971 he sold the ranch and moved to Idaho where he enjoyed his horse, hunting, fishing, and camping with his many friends and family.

Wayne was known for his love of animals, kids, and chocolate.
A Celebration of Wayne and Joy’s lives will be held at their home on Saturday, February 18, from 3pm to 6pm.


Wayne and Joy will be buried together at a later date at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo, CA.

Wayne’s passing has left a huge hole in a lot of lives.

He will be greatly missed.
