Coming up: Idaho Vandals

RECORD: 15-11, 7-4 WAC

COMING UP: Saturday vs. Portland State, 7:05 p.m.

OUTLOOK: The Vandals have gone from a hectic schedule – five games in 10 days – to a relative breather. They host a game Saturday night against Portland State (12-12) in their regular-season home finale, and travel to Utah State on Feb. 24 for their lone game next week. Is the break a good thing for the Vandals, who have won four straight? “I really don’t know,” UI coach Don Verlin said. “It’s always hard to have a full week off during the season, but we played so many games that it feels like it’s good.” Portland State is carried by two seniors – 6-foot guard Charles Odum, second in the Big Sky at 18.6 ppg, and 6-foot-5 Chehales Tapscott (9.3 rebounds per game).
