Sasquatch men fall short at Walla Walla

Jay Payno scored 20 points as Walla Walla (17-7, 8-3) beat Community Colleges of Spokane 80-77 in an NWAACC game Wednesday in Walla Walla.

Preston Wynne led CCS (19-4, 8-2) with 27 points.

Women’s basketball

Tai Jensen scored 24 points and Walla Walla (17-6, 8-3) edged Community Colleges of Spokane (6-16, 1-9) 62-56 in an NWAACC game in Walla Walla.

Wrestling

North Idaho finished second at the Region 18 tournament on Saturday in Yakima. Tournament officials mistakenly named NIC the third-place team.
