HASCOOLIDGE, John D.

Born 7-29-32 in New York City.

Passed 2-16-2012 in Spokane.
John left N.Y.C.

at 14, hitchhiking across country.

A kind rancher near Granby, CO took him in and cared for him.

At 17 John joined the Navy, serving as special ops U.D.T.

man in the Korean War.

While in the Navy, John married his first wife, Darlene in Lincoln, NB.

He attended barber school in Lincoln and operated a shop in Hemingford, NB for several years while raising their family of one daughter and two sons.

In 1969 the family moved to Marysville, WA.

John had shops in Bellingham and Everett, WA.

He and his first wife divorced.
John moved to Spokane in 1989.

He worked in several area barber shops including his own in Spokane Valley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife; also his eldest son, John.

John was killed in a tragic boating accident in 1990.
John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jackie Hascoolidge, Ritzville, a daughter, Lynda, Yakima, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of WA state and his wife, Karol at the home.


At his request, no services will be held.

John desired that any memorials be made to the Salvation Army or N.A.M.I.
