RICHARDS, Robert Harold
(Age 88)

Bob Richards passed away February 19, 2012 while rehabbing at Avalon Care Center in Spokane where he was born June 6, 1923.

Growing up Bob enjoyed family life with five siblings.

Bob answered his country’s call by serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII.

Bob worked in the moving business owning Bee Line Transfer in Ephrata.

Bob enjoyed fishing at his lake place smoking the fish he caught and sharing them with others.

Most recently Bob enjoyed eating out, visiting with all his friends and providing dozens and dozens of maple bars to all the doctors, nurses, and their helpers in appreciation for their care.

Bob was truly a very generous man.

Bob was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Winnie Richards in 2006.

He is survived by his sisters Dona Aubin and Dorothy Harding and her husband Ken, all of Spokane Valley; along with numerous nieces and nephews including Scherry Harding of Spokane Valley.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, from 12-5pm at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10am also at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Farmington, WA.
