Holy Trinity hosts series of Lenten events

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will launch a series of Lenten soup suppers and worship services Wednesday. The church will host supper every Wednesday at 6 p.m. followed by a worship service at 6:45 p.m.

The weekly schedule will continue through April 4. All are invited to attend and there is no charge for the supper.

The church, at 2511 S. Pines Road, also will host its monthly free community dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The meal is served on the last Tuesday of every month. Those planning to attend the meal are asked to RSVP by calling (509) 926-7966 by noon on Tuesday.

Book sale

Opportunity Presbyterian Church will host its annual book sale March 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale also will have puzzles, games, CDs and DVDs. The church is at 202 N. Pines Road.
