Police blotter

Kootenai County sheriff

Rollin Peterson, of Rathdrum, reported Tuesday the $1,050 theft of a rifle from his home on the 15000 block of West Pauline Trail.

Susan Short, of Coeur d’Alene, reported Tuesday the $7,000 theft of cash and gift cards from a home on the 12000 block of North Pinetree Road in Hayden.

Holly Stiles, of Athol, reported Tuesday the $328 theft of alcohol, soda and Xbox console and game from her home on the 33000 block of North Sheep Springs Road.

Richard Gilbert, of Post Falls, reported Wednesday the $938 theft of power tools from his home on the 5000 block of East St. Anthonys Lane.

Jack Wade, of Spirit Lake, reported Wednesday the $387 theft of an exhaust pipe and diesel fuel from a Caterpillar at a logging site at the intersection of Brunner Road and North Clagstone Road near Athol.

William Whisner, owner of Coeur d’Alene Auto Recyclers, reported Thursday the $390 theft of tools, a video camera and syringes and $65 damage to a door and chain of the business at 2739 E. Thomas Lane in Coeur d’Alene.
