Obituary: Feaster, Francis Lyle “Butch”

Age 50

FEASTER, Francis Lyle
“Butch”

Born September 14, 1961
(Spokane, WA
Died February 11, 2012
Longview, WA

Our Husband, Father, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Friend left us way too soon but we are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain.

We suspect he has mom and dad out in a boat trolling for trout this very minute.

Butch was born to Lyle and Kathleen Feaster in Spokane, WA.

He attended North Central High School.

While in high school he joined the Navy, and couldn’t wait to see the world…and the world he did see.

Butch served as a Radioman on the USS Enterprise as well as several other ships.

He was a vet and very proud to serve his country.

While still in the Navy he came home and married “The girl next door”.

Together Butch and Lynn continued their adventure as they lived in Calif, Florida and S. Carolina.

Butch didn’t like being separated from his family, especially when Earl and Evelynn were born; so he ended his Navy career and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, later known as BNSF.

This work took him and his family to many places in the Northwest, eventually landing in Longview, WA.

Butch was a Big Sports Fan, loved fishing, hockey, Seahawks and the Mariners.

Butch was very generous with his time and home.

He never knew a stranger.

If he saw a need and he could help, he would provide it.

Butch was a friend to all he leaves a BIG void in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Butch is survived by his wife of 29 years Lynn Feaster; his children: Earl Feaster, Evelynn (Peter) Marquez, Longview, WA; sister Rosemarie Feaster, brother Tom (Amy) Feaster, Spokane, WA; brother-in-laws: Aaron Chandler, Tom Chandler, Brian Chandler, Spokane; sister-in-law Rebecca Chandler Dillingham, AK; aunt Maryann (Robert) Adams, Spokane; uncles Patrick (Bobbie) McKee Fort Collins, CO, Bob McKee, Bill (Lana) McKee and many cousins that were very special to him.

At Butch’s request there will be no services.

The family will have a gathering to celebrate his life at a later date.
