Obituary: Selder, Lloyd

Age 89


SELDER, Lloyd

Passed away February 18, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA.

He was born on July 31, 1922 to Roy and Bertha Selder in Hunters, WA.

Lloyd grew up in the Hunters area and grad-uated from Columbia High School.

He went on to do many things in his life and worked for a creamery, owned a tavern, and was a timber buyer for Hunters Lumber.

In 1968, Lloyd moved to Plummer, ID and was part owner of Pacific Crown Timber Products until 1981.

He then semi retired but still kept busy in real estate and enjoyed traveling.

Lloyd married Mary (Allison) Barden in 1943; they divorced after more than 25 years of marriage.

A few years later he married Donna (Haas) Selder, she preceded him in death in 2009 after more than 30 years of marriage.

Lloyd is survived by one daughter, Sharon Selder of Port Townsend, WA; one son James Hass (Shelly) of Fairfield, WA; five grandchildren, Lisa Gallagher of Renton, WA, Jim Hergesheimer of Vancouver, WA, Tyler, Joshua and Madison Haas of Fairfield, WA; and five great-grandchildren, Jakob, Dylan, Ayden, Kevin and Colin; one brother George Selder of Loon Lake, WA, sister Mildred Hansen of Chewelah, WA, and sister Evelyn Newbill of Cheney, WA.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his brother Harry Selder and his sister Alice Neumann.

Lloyd enjoyed people, had a great sense of humor and lived life to the fullest.

There will be a memorial for Lloyd at Heritage Funeral Home on February 29, 2012 at 1:00pm.
