WUESTHOFF, Dennis G. “Denny”, Sr.

Dennis “Denny” George Wuesthoff, Sr., a resident of Nine Mile Falls, WA passed away on February 17, 2012 in Yuma, AZ.

Denny was born on October 31, 1938 in Chewelah, WA the son of George Ernest and Gladine (Williams) Wuesthoff.


Denny was raised in Chewelah, WA where he attended school.

In 1957 he graduated as a twelve year senior from Jenkins High School.

Denny then entered the U.S. Air Force and served his country for four years stationed in Alaska.

He was honorably discharged in 1961 and returned to Northeast Washington where he began a 32 year career with North West Airlines in Spokane.

Denny worked his way from baggage to ground service chief and retired on Oct. 31, 1992.

While residing in Spokane, Denny married H. Catheryn “Penny” Parks.

They shared 22 years of marriage and raised three boys, Herb, Dennis, and Kenny.

While attending a class reunion in 1991, Denny was reintroduced to Donna Lehman-Bell.

Their friendship blossomed and on May 2, 1992 they were wed.

They resided for eight years at Waitts Lake, WA before relocating to Long Lake in the Nine Mile Falls area.

Together they enjoyed traveling and ventured into the mid-west and throughout the western United States.

Denny and Donna have enjoyed the warmth of winters in the Foothills area of Yuma, AZ for the past twelve years.
Denny was a man who loved his family and had a heart of gold.

His high energy approach and constant motion introduced him to many friends throughout the years.

He was genuine, humble and loyal by nature.

He rebuilt several “hot rods” over the years and was a corvette aficionado.

In his youth, Denny also bowled on the Northwest Team often traveling across the U.S.

He was a “scrapper”, always on the lookout for copper and other treasures of metal.

Denny could also be found at many farm and equipment auctions, always seeking new projects.


Denny was a longtime member of the Chewelah American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Wuesthoff and his parents, George and Gladine.
Denny is survived by his wife, Donna Wuesthoff, at the home; sister, Linda Norris and husband, Mike, Chewelah, WA; five sons, Herb Wuesthoff, Elk, WA, Dennis Wuesthoff Jr. and wife, Michelle, Medical Lake, WA, Kenny Wuesthoff and wife, Karen, Suncrest, WA, Glen Bell and wife, Teri, Spokane, WA, Bonnie Pete and husband, Mike, Colville, WA, Teri Anderson, Spokane, WA, Paula LaBlanc, Spokane, WA; mother-in-law, Alice “The Norwegian” Lehman, Spokane, WA; nineteen grandchildren, Ashley, Harley, Shelby, Kyle, Taylor, Rylee, Kaydee, Amanda, Zak, Austin, Josh, Arin, Demeree, Jordan, David, Nicole, Jeff, Jessica and Joel; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mr. Dennis “Denny” G. Wuesthoff, will begin at 11:00 a..m., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Gess Elementary school in Chewelah.

Pastor Bart Orth will officiate.

Graveside services and vault interment will follow at Chewelah Memorial Park Cemetery in Chewelah, WA.

A luncheon will follow the service at Gess Elementary School.
