Westbound Interstate 90 blocked at Stateline

Freeway traffic remains congested at Stateline as authorities investigate what initial reports indicate could be a fatal auto accident.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 90 were blocked for the Monday evening commute but a detour was established, according to Idaho State Police. Police reported the closure at 6:03 p.m. Motorists are asked to avoid the area. One eastbound lane was expected to be closed as well.

KHQ News has a crew at the scene and is reporting that at least one other motorist was rushed to an area hospital and that all lanes of the freeway are expected to reopen by 11 p.m.
