STEVENSON, Clarence H., IV

Clarence “Steve” H. Stevenson IV; was born in Mason City, Iowa and raised in Gendale, CA.

He passed away February 26, 2012 surrounded by his family at the VA Hospice.

Steve graduated from Glendale Community College in CA.

He joined the Air Force and worked on nuclear missiles in Roswell New Mexico.

He worked for the Knudsen Company in refrigeration conveyer systems.

From there he moved to Eureka, CA and owned the Blue Lake Garage, an auto mechanic and towing business.


He moved to the Inland Northwest in 1978, and resided in Deer Park, WA.

He participated in the city planning on the re-zoning for commercial property which allowed the expansion of several Deer Park businesses.

He was also a volunteer for the Deer Park Fire Department.


He worked for Mercy Ambulance and then for Crime Check/911 after moving to Spokane.

He stayed there until his disability in 2002.

Throughout his life he loved racing scuba diving, stock cars, riding horses, camping, fishing, and canoeing.


He is survived by his wife, Susan Stevenson and his five children; Angela Lynette, David Bruce, Sean Allen, Shane Arik, and Nicole Marie Stevenson as well as his four grandchildren, Kelsey, Gwen, Oonagh, and Aiden.
