Roundup: Whitworth rallies for basketball win over Loggers

Felix Friedt and Idris Lasisi scored 21 points apiece as Whitworth stormed back in the second half and beat Puget Sound 80-67 in a Northwest Conference game Saturday at Memorial Fieldhouse in Tacoma.

The Pirates outscored the Loggers 42-26 in the second half to erase a four-point halftime deficit.

Wade Gebbers made five 3-pointers and added 15 points for Whitworth (11-2, 4-0). Julian Fernandez led Puget Sound (11-2, 3-1) with 11 points.

Big Bend CC 101, CC Spokane 84: Antonio Snow and Blake Skidmore combined for 56 points as the Vikings (11-1, 1-0) topped the Sasquatch (11-3, 0-1) in a NWAACC game in Moses Lake.

Preston Wynne led CCS with 33 points. He made 9 of 19 shots, including 5 of 11 3-pointers and 10 of 10 free throws.

North Idaho 74, Salt Lake CC 66: Keon Lewis scored 16 points to lead the Cardinals (16-1, 2-0) past the Bruins (13-4, 0-2) in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game in Coeur d’Alene.

Antoine Hosley and Petar Joksimovic added 11 points apiece for NIC.
