Political motivations suspected in Oregon bunny burglary
An Oregon farmer and instructor for the Portland Meat Collective says there was likely political motivation behind the theft of 23 rabbits.
Levi Cole says the rabbits were taken from his property in a burglary Saturday, the night before he instructed a class on raising, slaughtering and cooking rabbits.
He told The Oregonian he believes the burglary was politically charged, and whoever stole the rabbits left behind nine nursing baby bunnies that died Sunday.
Portland Meat Collective owner Camas Davis says it’s the first time anything like this has happened to the group, which gets an occasional comment on its website from people angry at its existence.
The rabbit class went on as scheduled with other rabbits. Cole says the burglary was the main topic of dinner conversation.

Without a doubt this was a political act. Imagine stealing all those adult rabbits and leaving the most succulent ones behind.

Despite the left’s claim that they are the party of ‘live and let live’ - it really only applies if you chose to live as they say. Want to raise your own rabbits for food - then you will be subjected to this kind of theft and harassment.

Hmm, my nephew is a total liberal, he is also a teacher and lives south of Eugene Oregon… Guess what, he also raises rabbits and chickens for food! He is also a hunter that has learned to process his own venison, ducks, fish, etc.. in his garage.
Me, I get classified as a lefty liberal all the time… Yet, I hunt, fish, ride ATV’s, drive a big American pick up and shoot guns just for fun!
