Macy is now magnet thanks to ‘Shameless’

From Wire Reports

William H. Macy has earned critical acclaim for playing nerdy asexual characters in films such as “Fargo” and “Magnolia.” But he says his role as a conniving deadbeat dad on Showtime’s “Shameless” series is turning him into a sex symbol.

In a recent interview, Macy says he was hit on by “two seriously good-looking women” while filming in Chicago. He was so surprised that he turned around to see if their attention was meant for someone else.

He says he couldn’t wait to tell his wife, “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman.

Macy thinks the appeal is partly his longer hair. But, he says, his character is a “rascal” who’s quite sexual.

Macy says he’s “always felt like Tom Cruise” but looks like Howdy Doody. He says he loves the attention.

And baby makes three …

Through a rap verse, Jay-Z has confirmed the birth of “the most beautiful” girl in the world – his newborn daughter.

The song “Glory” made its debut on his social website Life and Times on Monday – two days after he and wife Beyonce gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy.

The couple said the baby was delivered naturally and weighed 7 pounds. “Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. … It was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”

It’s the first child for the power couple, who wed in 2008 in a private ceremony after a years-long courtship.

Elton John writes about friends, AIDS

Elton John is writing his first book, a personal account of the AIDS crisis.

The musician says “Love is the Cure: Ending the Global Aids Epidemic” will include memories of friends who died of AIDS-related illnesses, including Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

British publisher Hodder & Stoughton says the book will be published in July along with an audio book read by the British pop star. The U.S. publisher is Little, Brown.

Proceeds will go to the Elton John’s AIDS Foundation.
