CCS men route Wenatchee Valley

Tyler Edwards hit 5 of 6 three-point attempts on his way to 22 points and Preston Wynne added 20 more plus 12 steals as CC Spokane routed Wenatchee Valley 87-58 in an NWAACC men’s basketball game at Spokane CC on Saturday night.

The Sasquatch (12-3, 1-1) led 45-19 at the half in beating the Knights (4-7, 0-2), who had 34 turnovers.

Women’s basketball

Kassy Larson scored 16 points and Kate Patenaude 12 and the Wenatchee Valley Knights (6-8, 1-1), leading by one point at the half, took off to a 73-54 NWAACC victory over CC Spokane (5-9, 0-2) at Spokane CC.

Laikyn Brophy was the only Sasquatch player in double figures with 17 points as CCS hit just 22 of 69 shots for 32.4 percent – 28.6 percent in the second half – to the Knights’ 31-of-58 effort for 53.4 percent. The Knights also outrebounded CCS 42-33, led by Shelby Posey’s 11 boards.

Volleyball

Middle blocker Taylor Wilkinson will transfer to Idaho from College of Southern Idaho, Vandals coach Debbie Buchanan announced.
