SCRAPS filled with adoptable cats again

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service shelter rang in the New Year with an empty cat adoption room thanks to a two-week sale.

The emptiness didn’t last long. There is once again a full house in the cat room, said director Nancy Hill, and there are plenty of cats available for anyone who might be looking for a new companion.

The shelter is at 2521 N. Flora Road. The hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The shelter is closed on Sundays. Adoption fees are $62.70 for cats younger than 6 months and $40 for cats 6 months and older. The fees include a license, spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and vet visit. Call (509) 477-2532 for more information.
