Seen a wolf lately? Report sightings

OUTFIELD – As wolves continue to expand range in the Inland Northwest, sightings are becoming more frequent around areas inhabited by humans.

The Shoshone County sheriff says two dogs were attacked by four wolves near Wallace on Wednesday.

Elk River, Idaho, families have seen wolves virtually in town and aren’t letting kids walk down the roads without a group, or a gun.

In Spokane County , unconfirmed wolf sightings have been reported in several areas, including around Mica Peak.

Forest exchange errata

Stimson Lumber paid the Forest Service $349,000 to equalize the value of acreage transferred in the Hope-Sagle land exchange. The transaction details and amount were reported incorrectly last Sunday because of incorrect information given to the newspaper.
