Deniers cold to facts
Letters to the editor are obviously not fact-checked. Reference the Jan. 11 letter from Gary Warren: no facts and a lot of name-calling.
It follows the usual Republican playbook: A Republican makes a false scientific claim, a Republican politician suppresses a scientific report, or a scientist gets muzzled by a Republican administrator, and Fox News broadcasts fabricated information. All at the direction of the Koch brothers or Exxon Mobil, for pure profit motive (greed). Then easily misled people respond puppet-like because apparently they cannot look to reputable sources and research for themselves.
Fact: The National Academy of Sciences, the American Meteorological Society, the American Medical Association, the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, the American Chemical Society, the American Geophysical Union, the American Institute of Physics, the Geological Society of America among others (97 percent of recognized climatologists) all agree the climate change is happening and is caused at least in part by human activity. Go to their websites and check it out.
This is peer-reviewed science. Climate change deniers have no science behind them, just lies and name-calling. (The email accusation has long since been debunked. Look it up in the Congressional Record).
