Area roundup: Monterola earns 2nd nod

Eastern Washington’s Keisa Monterola was named Big Sky Conference Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after winning the pole vault at last Saturday’s UW Indoor Preview by clearing 13 feet, 7 3/4 inches.

Monterola has won the honor twice this indoor season.

Women’s basketball

Idaho’s home game against Nevada, scheduled for tonight, has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Monday because of winter weather.

Wrestling

North Idaho College’s meet at Yakima Valley was canceled because of winter weather.

The Cardinals (6-3) also canceled today’s meet at Highline CC in Des Moines, Wash. NIC is scheduled to compete at Clackamas (Ore.) CC on Friday.
