• DCI Engineers in Spokane has promoted Brian DeHaan to design manager for its structural division. The firm also promoted Justin Hancock and Jason Peterson to senior structural Computer-Aided Drafting designers.

Julie Van Wormer has been elected to Spokane Housing Ventures’ board of directors. Van Wormer works as a business development specialist for ALSC Architects.

• Lake City Playhouse has hired Dustin Sorrell as Playhouse Prep (Academic) Director. He previously served as the children’s theater specialist for Iowa City Community Theatre and studied theater at Ball State University.

Dick Aagard has been hired as a broker for Windermere North Spokane LLC. He previously worked for Prudential Spokane Real Estate.

• The Coeur d’Alene Association of Realtors named Kim Cooper president for 2012. Cooper is a real estate broker and owner of Select Brokers in Coeur d’Alene.
