Spartans shock North Idaho men

RANGELY, Colo. – Thomas Powers scored 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting as Colorado Northwestern snapped North Idaho’s nine-game winning streak with a 74-69 upset Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

NIC (18-2, 4-1) led the last-place Spartans (6-12, 1-4) by three at halftime, but were outscored 43-35 in the second half.

Antoine Hosley scored 18 points and Keon Lewis added 17 for NIC, which plays Friday at Salt Lake Community College.
