Gfeller does all for Colfax

Brandon Gfeller scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half and the Colfax Bulldogs (10-3, 8-1) rolled to a 60-42 victory over the St. George’s Dragons (9-6, 7-4) in Bi-County 2B boys basketball Monday night.

Gfeller hit 7 of 10 shots in the first half. He finished with 11 rebounds and five assists. Kyle Johnson added 11 points for Colfax, which had 9 of 10 players score.

Will Tender paced the Dragons with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Coeur d’Alene 51, Moscow 49: Ty Higbie buried a shot with 2.8 seconds left to lift the visiting Vikings (11-3) over the Bears (7-7) in nonleague play.

Higbie finished with 14 points, while Deon Watson scored 10.

Lane Brooks led Moscow with 14 points, while Dan McGurkin scored 10.

Kellogg 69, Wallace 16: Ryan McDonald tossed in a game-high 18 points and Garret Wendt scored 10 as the visiting Wildcats (11-2) overpowered the Miners (5-7) in nonleague play.

Kellogg led 35-8 at halftime and saw all 10 players score.

Andrew Brackebusch topped Wallace with seven points.

Girls basketball

Amelie Bruya poured in 18 points to propel the Colfax Bulldogs (8-5, 7-2) to a 73-26 win over the visiting St. George’s Dragons (6-9, 5-6) in a Bi-County 2B game.

Hannah Harazin added 15 points and Taylor Larson chipped in with 14 points for Colfax.

Morgan Cambareri, Alex Wert and Brenna Russell each scored seven for St. George’s.

Coeur d’Alene JV 45, St. Maries 43: Erin Higbie scored a game-high 19 and the visiting Vikings edged the Lumberjacks (4-9) in nonleague action.

Kaytrin Thaut had 15 points and seven boards for St. Maries, while Dusti Huddleston chipped in with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
