Nevada holds off Idaho

Vandals still looking for first WAC win

MOSCOW, Idaho – Kate Kevorken scored a game-high 18 points and Amanda Johnson and Chanelle Brennan each scored 15 to carry the Nevada Wolf Pack to a 76-70 victory over the Idaho Vandals in Western Athletic Conference women’s basketball Monday night.

Sophomore Alyssa Charlston paced the Vandals (5-15, 0-4) with 17 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. Senior Ganeaya Rogers added 13 points for Idaho, while freshman Tayler Weiks scored 12. Senior Jessica Graham had 10 points and six rebounds.

The Vandals chipped away at a 17-point deficit in the second help, but fell short when they couldn’t find the range from the 3-point arc. Idaho made just 3 of 19.

Nevada (5-13, 1-2) withstood a 19-5 run by Idaho over the final 5 minutes, 16 seconds.
