Newman Lake home a total loss after fire
NEWMAN LAKE, Wash.- An overnight fire ripped through a Newman Lake home at 12611 N. East Newman Lake Drive Tuesday morning. There were no injuries.
The Spokane Valley Fire Department sent two trucks, a battalion chief and a fire investigator under a mutual aid agreement with Newman Lake Fire District 13, said Valley Fire Assistant Fire Marshal Bill Clifford. The three people inside the home when the fire started were able to evacuate safely, said Clifford. The home was fully involved when firefighters arrived.
The Red Cross has been called to assist the residents. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
