Police investigate drive-by shooting in W. Central

Spokane police responded Monday night to reports of multiple gunshots heard in the West Central neighborhood. Police spoke to witnesses in the 2100 block of West Boone Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. Police found four spent shell casings on the sidewalk and in the snow, a news release from the Spokane Police Department said. No victims were found. Witnesses described the suspect as a 25- to 30-year-old black man, about 6 feet tall, with short curly hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and light-colored jeans. The man left the scene in a tan or champagne-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, the release said. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
