Colville girls edge Lakeside

Tasha Luu scored 14 points and Colville stayed one game back of Freeman in the Northeast A League with a 45-42 win over host Lakeside on Tuesday night at Nine Mile Falls.

Ashley Knight hit two free throws with 10 seconds left to extend the Indians’ lead to three points. Lakeside’s desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer was off.

Erin Little added 10 points and seven boards for Colville (13-5, 7-1). The Eagles (10-8, 5-3) were led by Taylor Flemming and Jocelyn Cook-Cox, who combined for 28 points.

Freeman 62, Riverside 29: Alyssa Maine had 15 points and five steals as the Scotties (18-0, 8-0) extended their winning streak to 41 games with a win over the visiting Rams (6-12, 1-7). Marisa Pace paced Riverside with 11 points.

Newport 58, Chewelah 35: The Grizzlies (12-6, 3-5) overwhelmed the visiting Cougars (2-16, 0-8) in the third quarter and coasted to the win. Taylor Lewis had 14 points and Miranda Frederick had 13 points and seven assists.

Great Northern League

Deer Park 38, Medical Lake 33: Tessa Heins scored 14 points and Alison Ruygrok added 10 as the Stags (10-6, 6-2) edged the host Cardinals (1-14, 0-7). Deer Park collected 18 offensive rebounds.

Pullman 39, East Valley 29: Emily Drake had 16 points, six rebounds and four steals as the Greyhounds (6-8, 4-3) beat the host Knights (8-7, 4-3). Erin Wallman scored a team-high 10 points for East Valley, which shot just 19 percent from the floor.

Clarkston 55, West Valley 35: Jamie Weisner had 16 points and nine rebounds as the Bantams (13-1, 7-0) jumped ahead early and cruised past the visiting Eagles (4-11, 1-7). Jenae Martin led West Valley with 10 points.

Intermountain League

Priest River 38, Bonners Ferry 31: Steffie Pavey scored 14 points and Jill Weimer added 10 as the Spartans (10-5, 4-0) clipped the host Badgers (6-9, 2-2). Jenna Gust had 10 points and nine rebounds for Bonners Ferry.

Timberlake 62, Kellogg 34: Kelly Madsen scored 19 points and Taylor Mason added 17 as the Tigers (8-8, 3-2) pounced on the Wildcats (8-7, 2-3) early and cruised to the win at Kellogg. The Wildcats were led by Kelsey Carter’s 10 points.

Bi-County League

Reardan 80, Davenport 52: Kelsey Moos had 16 points, eight assists, seven steals and six rebounds and the Indians (15-0, 11-0) routed the host Gorillas (7-7, 5-6). Katy Burge had 18 points as five Reardan players scored in double figures. Davenport’s Miranda Mielke shot 10 of 19 from the floor and finished with 32 points.

Colfax 61, Liberty 10: Hannah Harazin scored a game-high 15 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Bulldogs (9-3, 8-2) overwhelmed the visiting Lancers (0-15, 0-12).

Kettle Falls 50, Springdale 39: Josie Stanard and Serena Pounds combined for 23 second-half points to lead the Bulldogs (4-11, 3-8) past the host Chargers (7-8, 4-8).

Bi-County 1B League

Wilbur-Creston 41, Valley Christian 34 (OT): Kaelee Reed scored six of her career-high 20 points in overtime as the Wildcats (6-8, 3-3) beat the visiting Panthers (4-9, 0-4). Lacey Riggan and Lindy Riggan combined for 32 points for Valley Christian.

Panorama League

Cusick 50, Wellpinit 34: Andrea Heinen scored all 17 of her points in the second half as the Panthers (10-6, 6-4) pulled away to beat the host Redskins (5-11, 4-6). Sami Jo Parr led Wellpinit with 16 points.

Nonleague

Post Falls 69, Lakeland 39: Dani Failor led three players in double figures with 12 points as the Trojans (10-8) routed the host Hawks (9-9) in Rathdrum. Katie King had 11 points and Priscilla Perrin chipped in 10 for Post Falls.

Inchelium 50, Odessa-Harrington 44: The short-handed Hornets (7-8) took control in the second quarter and edged the visiting Titans (7-10). Jovahni Seymour scored 16 points for Inchelium. Jessie Whitaker led Odessa-Harrington with 16 points.

Coeur d’Alene Charter 41, St. Michael’s 25: Lexi Turkenburg scored a game-high 27 points as the Panthers (5-10) pulled away in the fourth and topped the host Warriors (3-9).

North Star League

Clark Fork 52, Lakeside 27: The Wampus Cats (7-2, 2-0) took control in the second half and routed the host Knights (4-6, 3-1) in Plummer. Brocklynn Thornton and Dimi Kailang combined for 27 points for the Wampus Cats.

Southeast 1B League

Tekoa-Oakesdale 54, Garfield-Palouse 39: Freshman Kimberly Groom had 16 points and 17 rebounds as the Nighthawks (10-5, 7-3) beat the visiting Vikings (7-5, 4-5). Taylor Redman and Kaycie Adair combined for 30 points for G-P.
