Scholarship fund seeks help

Students at Eastern Washington University will have an opportunity to help each other through Tuesday with the Round It Up for Scholarships program, created by the Associated Students of Eastern Washington University, the office of Alumni Advancement and EWU Bookstores.

EWU students can donate their pennies, nickels, dimes and dollars when they check out at the bookstore to contribute to Eastern’s General Scholarship Fund. As tuition rates rise, there is a greater need for scholarships.

Community members also can donate to the program through the end of the month. The ASEWU has placed white piggy banks in a dozen Cheney businesses, for residents and visitors to donate their change to the program.
