Area roundup: Wynne paces Sasquatch win

Preston Wynne scored 20 points, added five rebounds and led all players with four steals as the Community Colleges of Spokane men’s basketball team defeated Walla Walla 84-74 in an NWAACC game at Spokane Falls CC.

Marlowe Brim added 18 points for the Sasquatch (14-3, 3-1 NWAACC) and pulled down seven rebounds. Luke Evans came off the bench and contributed 16 points.

Walla Walla’s (12-6, 3-2) Dylan Radliff led all players with 24 points.

Women’s basketball

Leslie Stillar (Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls) finished with a game-high 28 points and added five rebounds as Walla Walla (13-4, 4-1) defeated CC Spokane 63-47 in NWAACC play.

Laikyn Brophy was 9 of 14 from the field and led the Sasquatch (5-11, 0-4) with 20 points. The Warriors scored 17 points off of turnovers.
