Man hurt in ATV crash

From Staff Reports

A man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle and a farm tractor.

Joseph J. Andrews, 19, of Usk, Wash., was on a Polaris ATV when the 4 p.m. crash occurred, according to the Washington State Patrol. He was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center; his condition is unknown.

Andrews and Lance P. Piengkham, 20, of Usk, who was on a John Deere farm tractor, were westbound on Powwow Park Road when Andrews attempted to pass Piengkham and lost control. Andrews fell off the ATV and the ATV rolled and hit the tractor.

Piengkham was not injured. Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.

The WSP is investigating the crash.
