Parker channeling Eyman

Rep. Kevin Parker seems to be torn; torn between the will of Spokane County voters and his buddy Tim Eyman. Eyman’s most recent initiative, I-1125, was a failed attempt to politicize transportation funding in our state. The measure lost because Washington state voters saw through Eyman’s facade.

Spokane County voters saw through that façade as well, defeating the measure 51.02 percent to 48.98 percent. Yet Parker obviously does not care. Parker has signed up to sponsor HB 2575, which is I-1125 in bill form. It’s really disappointing that Parker has chosen to ignore the 74,395 Spokane County residents who said no to I-1125. Shame on Parker for choosing Eyman over his constituents!
