BRAUN, Robin

Robin Ellen Braun passed away suddenly, June 21, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

Robin was born September 7, 1951 in Fredericksburg, Virginia to parents, Paris and Dorothy Trail.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paris Trail.

Robin is survived by her husband Joe Braun of 40 years and daughter Lark Braun, Spokane, WA; mother,
Dorothy Trail, Edenton, North Carolina; sister, Toby Pennell (Thomas) Portsmouth, Virginia; brothers Matthew Trail (Amy) Lexington, Kentucky and Pepper Trail (Debra) Ashland, Oregon; and numerous aunts, nieces and nephews.


Robin volunteered for the Children’s Miracle Network, the Washington State School for the Blind, Spokane Public Radio, the Special Education Advisory Commission of the Spokane School District 81, and was an active member of the Moran United Methodist Church and other organizations.

Robin enjoyed her professional career as a medical librarian at Deaconess Hospital and the CDC, loved reading, and loved to backpack and garden with her husband.

Robin was an exceptional wife and mother and an empowering role model to all and is greatly missed.


A celebration of Robin’s life will be Tuesday, July 3; 1:00 p.m., at Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E. 65th Avenue, Spokane, WA.
