Kite cuts power in Spokane Valley

KHQ-TV reports that power has been restored to all customers.

About 1,100 people are without power after a kite flew into one of Vera Water and Power’s feeders in Spokane Valley. The kite cause two feeders to go down, and at the peak of the power outage, about 1,800 people were without power, the utility told KHQ-TV. But after crews got one feeder back online, 700 customers’ power was restored. Crews are checking the second feeder and working to restore power. There is no estimated time of restoration.
