KENNEDY, Douglas Keith
(Age 89)

Passed away on June 25, 2012.

He was born on September 7, 1922 in Wilbur, WA to Joseph and Bessie Kennedy.

He graduated from Wilbur High School in 1941.

He served in the US Army WWII from 1942-1945.

In Creston, WA on August 31, 1951, he married Irene Reister.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, at the home; two children: Doug and Dianne Kennedy and Janet and Scott MacKenzie; two granddaughters: Angie Deahl and Megan MacKenzie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Randy Kennedy, two brothers: Stanley and Clifford Kennedy; three sisters: Audrey McMillan, Joyce Moon, and Jeanne Willis.

He was a member of the Wilbur Community Presbyterian Church.

He was a lifetime member of the Wilbur VFW Post, a former Wheat Ridge Grange Member.

He also managed the Wilbur Lumber & Implement for over 40 years until his retirement in 1986.

He enjoyed bowling, playing baseball, sports, fishing and hunting, and taxidermy.

He enjoyed his country living and camping, but his family and grandkids brought him the most joy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wilbur Presbyterian Church with Revs.
