Dick passed away on July 9, 2012 in Spokane, WA.

He was born on July 9, 1926 in Northport, WA to Alva and Dorothy Leonard.

Dick attended West Valley High School and joined the Navy on July 9, 1943 at the age of 17.

After returning in 1947, he continued his military service in the reserves until 1955.

In 1951, he married Eileen Keebaugh who would stand by his side for the next 60 years.

The couple continued to live in Spokane raising their four children until 1974 when they moved to Lind, WA.

Once Dick retired in 1988 they returned to Spokane.

Dick enjoyed fishing, bingo, garage sales, family vacations, voting, western movies, and following kids and grandkids to sporting events and community activities.

As life slowed down, Dick and Eileen moved to Parkway Village Assisted Living where he was deeply involved in all activities.

He is survived by his children, Darcia “Dee” Bowers of Reardan, Ron Leonard and his wife Linda, Rick Leonard and his wife Lori and Paula Bafus and her husband David, as well as six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A viewing will be held at Heritage on Thursday, July 12 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at Heritage on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:30AM.
