Mom passed away July 5, 2012 surrounded by her family and Lottie.

She was born April 21, 1926 in Pittsburg, TX to L.M.

and Lessie Whatley the second oldest of six children.

She married “Scrib” on November 26, 1945 and they were married for 57 years until his passing in October 2002.

She brought so much life and laughter to this world and always had a smile on her face, a true Southern Bell.

Merry is survived by her children, Johnny (Jeanne) Scribner and Patti (Nathan) Conkle; grandchildren, Kristi (Chad) Johnson, Shelby (Doug) Baker, Lisa Scribner, Gretchen (Eric) Sterritt, Amy (Michael) Blondin, Adam Scribner, Ethan Scribner and Kristofer (Kristina) Siebers; great grandchildren, Andrea, Johny and Justin Johnson, Tayler and Kaelyn Baker, Cody and Tyler Sterritt, Keegan and Riley Blondin, Jarryn and Jayden Siebers, and Jessika and Kameron Fisher, and all her nieces and nephews in Texas ans Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Meb, Wanda, Minnie, Jr and Tommy, her husband “Scrib”, and her son Gary.

A Special Thanks to Tricia, Rachael, Tami, and Britney for the excellent care and compassion that was given to her for the last three years at Peterson’s Place where she lived.

All her suffering has ceased, she is praising her Lord and Savior up in heaven with a new body.

Merry will be missed but we celebrate her life and one day we will all meet again.

A Graveside service will be held on July 14, 2012, at 10:00 am at Fairmount Memorial Park and will be conducted by Pastor Vince Schott.
